sizing info - bracelets

Bracelet sizing is all about wrist size, personal preference, the way that the bracelet fastens, and the size of the beads being used.

I make a range of standard sizes, and I am also happy to custom make any size required to order, in my work studio.

To get an idea of your personal bracelet size, using a flexible flat measuring tape (or a thin strip of paper or cord) measure your wrist snugly, just below the wrist bone where your hand joins your wrist. This is your actual wrist measurement.

Choose your bracelet size depending on your personal preference and how loosely you like a bracelet to fit. This will be your bracelet size for elasticated/stretch designs, and bracelets designs that have a trigger clasp.

For bracelets that are elasticated/stretch designs I make the following sizes:

2XS - 15.5cm (approx. 6 inches) fits up to 14cm (5.5 inch) wrist

XS - 16.5cm (approx 6.5 inches) fits up to 15cm (6 inch) wrist

S - 18cm (approx 7inch) fits up to 17cm (6.75 inch) wrist

M - 18.5cm (approx 7.25 inch) fits up to 18cm (7 inch) wrist

L - 19cm (approx 7.5inch) fits up to 19cm (7.25 inch) wrist

XL - 20.5cm (approx 8inch) fits up to 19.5cm (7.75 inch) wrist

2XL - 21.5cm (approx 8.5inch) fits up to 21cm (8.25 inch) wrist

3XL - 23cm (approx 9inch) fits up to 21.5cm (8.75 inch) wrist

Bracelets that fasten with a toggle clasp (ring and bar style) need about 1.25cm (0.5 inch) added to your actual wrist measurement for them to fasten properly. It is impossible to get a snug, exact fit on a bracelet that uses this type of clasp.

For bracelets with toggle clasps I make the following sizes:

XS - 16.5cm (approx 6.5inch) fits up to 15cm (6 inch) wrist

S - 18.5cm (approx 7.25inch) fits up to 17cm (6.75 inch) wrist

M - 19cm (approx 7.5inch) fits up to 18cm (7 inch) wrist

L - 20.5cm (approx 8inch) fits up to 19cm (7.5 inch) wrist

XL - 21cm (approx 8.25inch) fits up to 19.5cm (7.75 inch) wrist

2XL - 22.5cm (approx 8.75inch) fits up to 21cm (8.25 inch) wrist

3XL - 23.5cm (approx 9.25inch) fits up to 21cm (8.75inch) wrist

If you feel that your wrist size doesn't match any of these sizes, please add your exact wrist measurement (see above for instructions) to your enquiry, as I am happy to supply custom 'made to measure' sizes where possible
